Tourist Spot in Dao

Lolet's Eco-park situated just three kilometers away or a 8-minutes ride from the town proper, the Lolet’s Eco-Park, boasts of being the only eco-tourism destination in Dao, Capiz. Luis or ‘Lolet’ a former mayor of Dao and board member of Capiz started to develop about a hectare of their 4-hectare property at Brgy. Duyoc in the 1960s. In 2005, the entire four-hectare property was developed and served as a “model to create awareness, especially the youth, on the importance of a clean, green and beautiful environment.

Thomas of Villanueva Church (Dao, Capiz)

St. Thomas of Villanueva Church was made of coral stone constructed by Fr. Agustin Alvarez in 1865 and completed by Fr. Elviro Perez Jorde in 1893. It has one main nave, a transept and one-storey facade with small arched entrances divided by paired columns mounted on triangular pedestals.
